Silicon Vally streaming technology changed listening preferences for music and challenged Bang & Olufsen’s existing portfolio. There was a strong demand for single point wifi speakers which we did not offer.

The challenge was to build an innovate portfolio offering at speed. As Head of Design and Research I lead a cross functional team to define the future of the offering.

To move quickly, we built and iterated an extensive number of low-fidelity prototypes in a sprint manner to understand entire portfolio cohesively, product stories, and specific use cases. This allowed for a holistic view of the entire portfolio with briefs for each product. As work progressed, a cohesive design language emerged, defined by consistent materials, colors, and treatments.

This new WiFi speaker portfolio has become the fastest-growing category and redefined our design language.
